Tips

Your body type and the amount of coverage you need will help dictate what style of bra works best for you.

Most women need a couple different styles of bras depending on the occasion and outfit.

  • Fuller coverage bras provide the highlest level of support & coverage.
  • A balcony shape is designed to keep you uplifted with a lower cut and shape- great under lower cut blouses & tops
  • Seamless/smooth cups work well under clingy clothing or knits.
  • Strapless bras are essential for summer dresses or camisoles where bra straps would ruin the look.
  • Sports bras are essential for any form of exercise. Most are made from wickable materials to help keep you dry. And if you do any high impact exercises- you need to control the bounce!

Are You in the Right Bra?

Here are some things to consider...

  • Does your bra ride up in the back? It should be level across
  • Does your cup overrunneth? Are you spilling out? You need a bigger cup.
  • Does the wire dig into your breast tissue?
  • Does the wire dig into your breast tissue?
  • Is is just plain uncomfortable? Are the straps leaving horrible divets in your shoulders?

If you answered yes to any of these questions...You Need to be Fitted!

I was professionally fitted last year and was told I'm a 36DD — so now I can just go into any store and buy a 36DD right??

Even if your bra fits great right now — it doesn't take much for that to change. Weight fluctuations can affect your bra size as well as hormonal changes. It is possible to change a whole cup size during your monthly cycle so you might need a special bra for just those days.

Pregnancy obviously changes your breast size as does breast feeding and after breast feeding.

As we age — our bodies change, we lose muscle tone and connective tissue, so we might need a different style of bra.

Starting an exercise routine can affect how your bra fits and of course if you start taking hormones such as a birth control pill or HRT you will need to be refitted.

Each bra manufacturer has its own sizing and specifications —so a 36D in one brand is not going to be a 36D in another brand.
